My secret sauce

What I think makes me different is…
Enjoying life, not taking things too seriously. I try to not get angry or upset over small things. This is difficult a lot of the time, but i know in the grand scheme of things most of the day to day problems won’t mean anything. I think I for the most part have fun with things even if they aren’t traditionally fun. I’m always looking to improve and get better in all parts of my life, whether it be musical instruments, fitness, education/learning, or just being a better (mostly nicer) person in general. I reflect on who I am and what I do, and use that to try to become the best version of myself.

I approach life in a similar way that I approach music. I know what I want a song to sound like, and I know what I want to do/ where to go with my life.

Sense of humor, talented, university of florida student, value friends, like to hang out and have a good time. I enjoy watching soccer.

I’m weird, and have interesting thoughts. And am talented.

Tanner listed the main two things that describe me are
1.My ability to pick things up quickly
2. I don’t care what others think of me

My boi Curtis mainly talked about my skills drumming, sports, rapping as well as things I like. He also described me as punny, and listed my sense of humor as something that describes me.

I would agree with everything that my friends said about me. I think this assignment was difficult, because it kind of put people on the spot. They didn’t have too much to say about me, but I’m also a pretty simple guy. I would say my most defining factor is my sense of humor which almost everyone seemed to agree upon.

  1. Beau,

I can tell from your elevator pitch you have a calm demeanor which is valuable and it doesn't seem like much would upset you. I also agree that this assignment was difficult as it put people on the spot and it made me feel uncomfortable hearing people talk to me about me. I think your interviewees all had similar overall opinions of you which correspond to how you view yourself.

  2. Hey Beau,
I feel that the characteristics that you have attributed to yourself will help you succeed and continue to push past apparant limits. I think that not taking things too serious will help you manage the stress that everyday life seems to throw at us. I think it is cool that your sense of humor stood out amongst those closest to you! Great post

  3. Hello Beau, I like your outlook, and that you try to continue to stay positive and live life to the fullest no matter what. It was interesting hearing your interviews because the main takeaway I had was your sense of humor, and I can see that resonates through your friends very well.

  4. Beau,

I like the 5 traits that you have! I would have put going with the flow and not sweating the small stuff if I had thought of it. I think as students sometimes we stress too much about grades, test, etc. Anxiety can get the bet of us sometimes, but you got the right idea! Just enjoy life and enjoy this time we have at UF! The key thing that I liked about what yo said was, "I'm always looking to improve." I am the same way! No matter what it is, I always strive to do more and be better. Never set ceilings for yourself and never have limits, with anything. Whether that be working out, school, work, friends, etc. Just be the best at everything! You got the right idea man!

  5. Hello Beau, I have to say I can really learn a lot from you. I tend to take life too serious. I often worry and always think about the future rather than the present. I think I should focus on one thing at a time and take life a little bit easier.

  6. Beau,

Not getting wound up about the little things is a tremendously useful talent in the world. Too many people let every small inconvenience in life throw them into chaos and it does not benefit anyone. I think you got some really good feedback and it is always nice to hear that those close to you appreciate who you are. Being able to make people laugh is useful in just about every situation in life.

  7. Beau, I agree with you on this assignment of how it made feel uncomfortable, and put them on the spot because I had the same issue. As far as, your traits from your interviewees perspective and your own it seems that you are a chill guy who loves music and sports, while enjoying everyday life. So, by keeping this attitude throughout your life you should be good to go!!

  8. Beau,

To be honest I wish I could live life like you. The majority of the time I am always worried about something. I do have times where I take a break and relax but I feel like if I took time to relax a lot I would never get stuff done but everybody is definitely different. I do relate to finding things that are not traditionally fun, fun. I love reading and I actually love being outside in nature.

  9. Hey Beau,
I have definitely seen you incorporate your sense of humor into some of the assignments for this class. It can not only help you deal with stress and keep a positive outlook on life, but can even be used in the business world, especially in advertising and marketing. Not letting the little things bother you is also a fantastic trait to have. Good job!
